Sanjay Lavakare made a transition from a 16-year career in IT to pursue painting full-time. His latest artwork showcases the distinctive characteristics of Koramangala, influenced by conversations with local residents. Originally part of Bengaluru's IT industry, Sanjay, a retired engineer, discovered his true passion for art. Declining a sabbatical offer from his company, he decided to dedicate himself entirely to painting. Sanjay, a regular at the Chithra Santhe art fair, reveals that his newest piece captures the essence of Koramangala, with input from residents such as Ashish and Ritu. They identified 50-60 unique elements of the neighborhood, some of which are clearly depicted in Sanjay's painting, while others require a closer look to interpret.
